Durham Deaf Services (DDS) is a non-profit organization committed to providing communication, integration, and educational programs to Deaf children, adults, and senior citizens.
Our American Sign Language (ASL) in-home training helps Durham area children develop communication skills. Deaf children are taken out of isolation and are given the ability to 'talk' to their family members.
Our literacy, employment, and computer training offers a welcoming environment to Deaf adults and seniors, and aims to decrease the number of Deaf adults on social assistance and remove feelings of helplessness and isolation.
